The artist should first acknowledge and interact with cultural memory. The must identify pattern, themes and forms that resonate (or dont). They should use this as a basis to inform and a foundation to build on.

The artist should create a proposal using the cultural memory. Outline a clear set of limitations, questions and rules, designed to directly related the cultural memory and challenging the artist to think forward. The proposal is a blueprint for working with the unknown.

The artist, using the proposal, should anticipate and materialise future possibilities in their work. This involves experimentation and iteration, knowing that not all attempts will succeed.
